Nestled within the natural terrain of Serifos, Rizes Boutique Hotel is a collection of understated architectural volumes that combine local stone with the characteristic white surfaces of Cycladic architecture.
For this project, VIEKKO undertook the manufacture and installation of wooden windows, balcony doors, external wooden shutters and entrance doors, designed to integrate seamlessly with the architectural identity of the complex.
Finished in soft grey tones, the wooden frames create a subtle transition between the warm texture of the stone and the white façades. Where exposed stone continues into the interiors, the openings become distinctive architectural features, framing the Serifos landscape and allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the living spaces.
A defining feature of the project is the external wooden shutters. Their proportions and design draw inspiration from traditional island architecture, while their contemporary construction ensures a harmonious integration with the hotel's overall aesthetic.
The balcony doors strengthen the connection between the interiors and the private courtyards, terraces and surrounding landscape. The wooden entrance doors follow the same architectural language, creating a consistent visual identity throughout the complex.
At Rizes Boutique Hotel, VIEKKO's wooden constructions become an integral part of the architectural composition — where stone, wood, white surfaces and natural light come together against the backdrop of Serifos.
