Kalami Suites - Serifos
APPLICATIONS
Location: Livadi, Serifos, Greece
Year: 2021
Located in Livadi, on the island of Serifos, Kalami Suites is a hospitality project that embraces the simplicity and understated elegance of Cycladic architecture.
Whitewashed surfaces, natural stone and wooden pergolas create a welcoming environment, where the architectural composition is closely connected to the surrounding landscape.
For this project, VIEKKO manufactured wooden windows, balcony doors, internal wooden shutters and entrance doors, designed to complement the clean lines and natural tones of the buildings.
Finished in soft, neutral shades, the wooden frames blend effortlessly with the white façades and natural materials. The carefully proportioned openings bring daylight into the interiors while establishing a visual connection with the outdoor spaces and the island's mountainous scenery.
The internal wooden shutters introduce an additional architectural detail, enhancing the character of the openings and contributing to the overall sense of harmony.
At Kalami Suites, VIEKKO's wooden constructions form an essential part of the architectural composition, bringing together functionality, craftsmanship and the timeless simplicity of Cycladic design.
